Designed in collaboration with you, each ring is brought to life by our expert team, who bring decades of experience in fine jewellery craftsmanship. THE PROCESS
HOW IT WORKS
Upon making an engagement ring appointment with us, our friendly team will ask you a few questions to help tailor your experience. These questions will include what shape centre diamond you like, would you like a natural or lab grown diamond, and what your approximate budget is. We will then use our expertise to source a diamond selection for your consideration on the day of your appointment. If you're unsure about the diamond shape, we can explore this together during your appointment.

From the moment you step into our Design Gallery, you’ll be greeted with a warm welcome. More than just a space, it’s an inviting and inspiring environment designed to make you feel at comfortable and at ease.
STEP 1: YOUR APPOINTMENT
When visiting us for a bespoke engagement ring appointment, you will meet either Nicholas or Anya. Both boast decades of experience and are GAA qualified diamond graders. Nicholas or Anya will discuss your requirements and guide you through any diamond education needed.
STEP 2: DIAMOND SELECTION
If you've provided us with your diamond requirements during the initial phone consultation, this is the stage where we'll showcase the diamonds we've carefully selected on your behalf. Drawing upon our vast experience & qualifications as diamond graders, we'll present you with a curated selection that meets your specifications. Additionally, we leverage our long-standing relationships in the diamond industry, cultivated over many years, to bring you the finest diamonds available, ensuring they align perfectly with your needs and preferences.
STEP 3: DESIGN
During your appointment with us, you'll have the opportunity to explore our extensive collection of engagement rings. Here, we'll begin narrowing down the specifics for your ring, from the choice of gold, design features and the final diamond selection. Once the details are finalised, we'll provide you with a quote for your consideration and an estimated timeline for the production of your ring. If you choose to proceed, a minimum 50% deposit is required to initiate the crafting process.
STEP 4: CRAFTSMANSHIP
Our bespoke engagement rings are handcrafted in our Sydney Design Gallery by our master jeweller. Production of a bespoke engagement ring takes approximately 4 weeks from inception to completion.
STEP 5: COLLECT YOUR RING
Upon collection, you'll receive a diamond certificate, an independent valuation of your ring, and we will discuss insurance options for your peace of mind.

Our concierge-style service extends far beyond your purchase with us.
Our ultrasonic cleaning service is a complimentary service completed in our Design Gallery as often as you would like. It uses a commercial ultrasonic machine which utilises high-frequency sound waves to create a cleaning action that removes debris, dirt, and grease from your fine jewellery. This service takes approximately 15 minutes, so it is able to be done while you wait - no appointment needed. We will also check your settings while you are here to ensure they are secure.
After purchasing your Nicholas Haywood Jewellery engagement ring, if the size isn't perfect, we offer complimentary resizing within 12 months of your purchase, valued at $120 per size. Additionally, we'll ensure your ring is photo-ready for your big day by providing a complimentary clean and polish valued up to $150 per ring.
Engraving is complimentary on all eligible Nicholas Haywood Jewellery pieces.
With each bespoke Nicholas Haywood Jewellery creation, we provide an independent valuation for your pieces. This service is valued at $150 per valuation. Your valuation certificate will be included with your purchase.
Everyday wear can take its toll on your fine jewellery, especially constantly worn pieces like engagement and wedding rings. Inevitably, they get dirty; scratches appear in the gold and they generally lose their lustre. As well as this over a long period of time gold on your claws can wear down requiring re-tipping to ensure your stones are secure.
As part of our Signature Service, we offer a complimentary full-service clean, check, and polish for your Nicholas Haywood Jewellery Rings - once a year. This complimentary service is valued up to $150 per ring.
