Inspired by the soft, luminous tones of morganite, this oil on canvas work by Amelia Axton explores the way light moves, reflects and shifts within a precious gemstone. Layers of blush pink, peach, warm cream and gentle earthy tones create a delicate sense of depth and movement, echoing the subtle variations of colour revealed as light travels through the stone. Atmospheric and contemplative, the work captures the quiet beauty of morganite and the distinctive warmth and luminosity found within its layered hues.
