When you arrive for your appointment at Nicholas Haywood Jewellery, you will be welcomed into a warm and inviting setting, thoughtfully designed to make the experience truly memorable. The first step in creating your bespoke London Engraver Signet Ring is selecting the design that best reflects your style and story. We will guide you through a selection of rings to try on, allowing you to refine the style you love. Once your design has been chosen, we will carefully size your ring to ensure the perfect fit. From there, the creative process truly begins.

During your appointment, we will discuss your engraving in detail. For many clients, this is one of the most significant parts of the process, as it marks the beginning of the personalisation of your bespoke signet ring and allows your story to be expressed through a design that is deeply meaningful to you. A family crest is one of the most timeless and significant engraving options, transforming your ring into a future heirloom to be passed down for generations. It is a reflection of your heritage. During your appointment, we will discover your family crest together through the historic Fairbairn’s Crests book, available to view in the Design Gallery.

Once your ring style, size and engraving have been finalised, a quotation will be provided and a deposit taken to commence production. Production of a bespoke piece takes approximately 4 weeks from inception to completion.

Our bespoke London Engraver Signet Rings are handcrafted in our Sydney Design Gallery and individually hand engraved by the London Engraver. Each piece begins with the goldwork in your chosen design, carefully crafted by our master jeweller. Once completed, the engraving is carried out by the renowned London Engraver before the ring is polished and prepared for collection.

Upon completion, we will schedule a final appointment to present your bespoke signet ring to you. You'll also receive an independent valuation, and we will discuss insurance options for your peace of mind.
