Meet The Artist: Amelia Axton
We are excited to be hosting the work of Sydney artist Amelia Axton, bringing a collection of her serene abstract oil paintings into the Nicholas Haywood Jewellery Design Gallery.
Amelia embodies creativity and femininity in all that she touches. Working from her home studio in Sydney’s northern suburbs, her paintings are known for their softness, atmospheric quality and beautiful sense of calm.
Loved by tastemakers and interior designers, Amelia’s work has also been featured in some of Australia’s most loved interiors publications. Her artworks transcend trends, bringing a timeless beauty to a space that can be admired for years to come.
Her creativity extends well beyond the canvas. Alongside her work as an artist, Amelia is also a renowned hair and makeup artist with almost two decades of experience across film, television, fashion and advertising. This diverse creative background brings a unique perspective to her work and a natural understanding of colour, beauty and composition.
Our Design Gallery has always been about more than simply displaying jewellery. We created it as a place where our clients could spend time, be inspired, discover beautiful things and experience the craftsmanship behind what we do. Experiencing art in the Deign Gallery feels like a natural extension of that idea.
This spring, Amelia’s work will sit alongside our jewellery, precious gemstones and the activity of our workshop, bringing together different expressions of creativity and craftsmanship within one space.
